How a Scar Removal Hospital Can Help

Surgical scars, burns, accidents and even injuries caused by skin disorders can leave behind permanent markings. These scars serve as a physical reminder of past trauma and can lead to significant distress for patients. However, with advances in cosmetic dermatology and a host of treatment options available, a scar removal hospital can help you reduce the appearance of these marks, making them less noticeable.

The most common scars that require scar revision include hypertrophic scars, keloids and contractures from surgery or injuries. These scars are often raised or distorted in shape and can differ in color or texture from the surrounding skin. Scars can also be unsightly or disfiguring due to their size, location or the way they affect your appearance.

During your consultation, Dr Tzu will take a full medical history and examine the area that is affected by the scar(s). He can then assess whether you are a suitable candidate for scar correction. If you are, he will explain the different surgical and non-surgical scar correction treatments (or combinations of both) that may be appropriate for your needs.

He will recommend the best treatment option to achieve your desired results and answer any questions you may have. He will also take photographs of your scar/s to use for pre and post-op documentation.

Scars can be treated with topical creams, laser therapies and surgical procedures. During the scar revision procedure, your consultant will make a series of small cuts around your scar and reposition it so that it is less noticeable. This can be done on the face and body and is usually a day case procedure. The area will be numb with either local or twilight anesthesia and you should return home after your treatment.여드름흉터치료

A more severe scar can be minimised with a skin graft or flap. This involves taking healthy skin from another part of the body and attaching it to your scar site. It can also be used for keloid or hypertrophic scars that have become too large and are affecting the function of the skin.

If you have a deep scar that requires more than just skin removal, surgeons can also use techniques like tissue expansion to create a more even and smooth appearance. During this procedure, an inflatable balloon called a tissue expander is placed beneath the skin near your scar and slowly filled with a sterile solution over time to stretch the skin. Once the scar has been stretched adequately, it is removed and replaced with a similar amount of healthy skin.흉터치료

During your consultation, Dr Tzu will review your medical history and consider unique characteristics of your scar type, location, tone and texture. He will then recommend the best treatment based on over a decade of scar revision experience. He can also address concerns about how your scar makes you feel and discuss the best post-treatment care to speed up the healing process. It’s important to avoid sun exposure, friction or abrasion of the scar for several weeks following your treatment.
